TRENTON, NJ (August, 2006)--
Flotilla Members Anania, Cole, Pinelli, Fox, and Giblin represent
the USCG with the official color guard presentation at a Trenton
Thunder baseball game. The Division color guard is commanded
by Flotilla member Donna Cole who organized the group. |
SANDY
HOOK, NJ (Sep 23, 2006)-- Flotilla Members Starr and Giblin
operate a surface facility during port security exercises with the
US Navy. The joint training exercise allowed the Navy's
specialty security units to get realistic training opportunities
without requiring the diversion of a Coast Guard asset. |

HOOK NJ (July, 2006)-- RDML Pekoske, the Commander of the First
Coast Guard District, came to Station Sandy Hook to personally
present his inaugural award for Auxiliary Mission Excellence to the
members of Flotilla 22. In attendance were several members of
the Flotilla, as well as members of USCG Station Sandy Hook. |
BOSTON, MA (May 31, 2006)--The
commander of the First US Coast Guard District,
Rear Admiral Pekoske, has awarded
the inaugural First district Award for Auxiliary Mission Excellence to the
members of Flotilla 22 from Sandy Hook, NJ. "This is a new award designed
to recognize the superb accomplishments of our Coast Guard Auxiliary within the
First District" said

Pekoske in the official announcement from District Headquarters. His
announcement continues to say, "Auxiliary Flotillas Selected for this award are
being recognized for their contribution to overall mission excellence, as
demonstrated by their performance and accomplishments". |
FORT MONMOUTH, NJ (Jan 14, 2006)--The Flotilla Commander (FC)
and Flotilla Vice Commander (FVC) from Coast Guard Auxiliary
Flotilla 22 in Sandy Hook, NJ receive several awards on behalf of
the members of their Flotilla at the Division 2 Change of Watch
Ceremony. Master of Ceremonies and FVC Steve Gillooly hands the
first place Flotilla Operations award to FC Bill Anania at the
formal ceremony at the Fort Monmouth Officer's Club. Captain of the
Port of New York / New Jersey and Commanding Officer of Coast Guard
Sector New York - Captain Glenn A. Wiltshire was an honored guest at
the event, along with D1SR Director of Auxiliary (DIRAUX) CDR
Elizabeth Young and Auxiliary Commodore Charles Sferra. Flotilla
member Phyllis Lindmeier received the Charles Winch Lifetime
Achievement Award, and Lou and Trudy Bopp received Official Sector
New York Command Coins in appreciation of almost 7 decades of

California - Boat/US and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary awarded Flotilla
014-02-02 Sandy Hook, NJ wth the prestigious 'Best in the USA' award. At
the Auxiliar National Convention (NACON) VFC Anania and FC Pampaloni display the
crystal trophy which is now on proud display at USCG Station Sandy Hook. |
