SUBJECT: PV REPORT – JULY 2007
Two "Vessel
Examiners/Program Visitor" mornings were set up, at
Oceanport Landing on Saturday,
9 June 2007, from 10 am to 2 PM
VE's were Bill Anania, Don
Lambrecht and Lou Bopp
PV was Trudy Bopp.
The day was a great success.
Lou performed 3 VEs, Bill 6, and Don 2.
I placed computer written
signs in the right places and we had one picnic table with two benches. Safe
boating brochures were neatly displayed and distributed to interested boaters.
Channel Club Marina on 30 June
2007, from 10 am to 2 PM
On the 30 June, Don and Bill
had different plans, so it was Lou and myself. We placed the brochures on the
table inside a gazebo and then we walked the docks, offering free vessel
checks. "We are not ready" was the best we heard. It was obvious that
the people there wanted a day in the sun and having a good time. A boater would
treasure a new decal, indicating that his boat meets all State
requirements.
While we packed all the
brochures, one man came and asked for information, what he must
have on his boat. We gave him
Federal Regulations. After we drove away, we decided to
do some PVs.
Six PVs from me are reported
today. The filled out form 7046 was handed today to Steve Gillooly, FC 22.
