Subj: Monthly Operations Report
1. Personal Watercraft Operator Training – 25-26 July 09 at CG Station Sandy Hook. We will train and review all the Personal Watercraft Operator specific tasks only. People who are already crew or coxswain qualified at the end of the training may complete the program with the QE evaluation, others will have to complete the remainder of the tasks and request a QE at another time. Please note: Friday evening has been cancelled. Saturday will be devoted to shore side tasks and the underway portion tasks. Sunday we will do the QE evaluations and finish with a short patrol. POC: Paulette Nedrow, plned1@aol.com.
2. Flotilla 22 facilities have been doing weekend patrols and Regatta patrols. Thanks to everyone for the many hours you are putting in. Flotilla 22 stood up 4 of the 5 facilities for the Red Bank/Rumson fireworks. BZ! Changes in how the Coast Guard is communicating and who is communicating with the boating public make our presence out there even more important.
3. Facility Inspections by Station Sandy Hook boarding officers have begun on weekend. All facility owners are asked to contact BM1 Keith Brown at StaSH to make arrangements to have your facility inspected. As a training exercise for the active duty, they will conduct a standard CG 4100 boarding and then they will go over the Auxiliary Facility Inspection requirements.
4. Requests for weekend patrols should be made no later than Wednesday AM.
5. Please note that Tom Evans has requested that Flotilla 22 AuxData entries be sent to Don Lambrecht for the summer. Patrols orders go to Tom; the 7030s are e-mailed to Don.
6. Coxswains and facility owners who are not already on-line POMs users need to do this immediately. If you need help/instructions please let me know and I will get you the information and help.
7. The revised Order Request Procedure follows at the end of this report.
8. Make sure you contact the galley at StaSH if you plan to eat there. (732-872-3428)
